Cancer Is Even Deadlier For Diabetics
Cancer, the world's No. 2 killer, is even more lethal for people with diabetes, U.S. researchers said on Tuesday. People with diabetes who get cancer are about 40 percent more likely to die in the years following the diagnosis than cancer patients who are not diabetics, according to research published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. |

A new study, released Tuesday exclusively to The Associated Press, puts the total at $218 billion last year — the first comprehensive estimate of the financial toll diabetes takes, according to Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk A/S, which paid for the study. |
